The Amir date is an attractive high-quaity date, reputed to be the best dates in Iran.
Amir dates have soft, smooth flesh that resembles caramel. The skin is thin, tender and shrinks with the flesh as it dries. The flavour is delicate, rich and the sweetness is best compared to being in between Maktoom and Barhi dates.

The Amir date is referred to as ‘the visitor’s date’ as they are traditionally presented to guests as a gift or carefully picked and boxed for the export market.
