Cempedak – frozen

Description

Cempedak is a sought after fruit from Southeast Asia which is regarded as one of the most delcious fruits in the world by some fruit hunters!

The flavour and aroma of cempedak is like a combination of breadfruit, jackfruit and a hint of durian. It’s described as sweeter than honey.

The texture of cempedek is similar to Jackfruit. The super sweet and juicly flesh surrounds seeds which are attached to the central core of the fruit. Some varieties have flesh that melts in the mouth whilst others are more fibrous.

Cempedak has a very strong aroma, which some people adore and some people can’t stand. Its similar to the notorious durian fruit and some people even say the smell of cempedak is stronger than durian!
