Ugli fruit slices – dried

Description

Ugli fruit is a type of tangelo, which is a variety of citrus fruit grown exclusively in Jamaica.

It was discovered growing wild in Jamaica over 80 years ago. The original tree is believed to have been a hybrid formed from the Seville orange, the grapefruit and the tangerine families.

The fresh flavour of ugli fruit is delicious in many recipes, adding a subtle tang to both sweet and savoury combinations. It has a flavour that does not need added sugar unless you have a very sweet tooth.

A glass of ugli fruit juice makes a refreshing, flavourful change to fresh squeezed orange or grapefruit. The juice is also delicious warmed as a hot toddy with rum, and sweetened with honey or brown sugar.

Our ugli fruit slices dried are packed in 20g packets.
