Rambutan – frozen

Description

We use around 2.2kg of fresh whole rambutan to produce our 1kg frozen boxes which contain about 50 – 60 peeled fruits.

Frozen peeled rambutan perfect for use in drinks, desserts or for garnishing.

The unusual name for this fruit is derived from the Malay word ‘Rambut’ meaning hair! In Vietnamese it’s known as chôm chôm, which translates to ‘messy hair’.

The rambutan is related to the lychee and also has a flavour similar to lychee mixed with pineapple.

They are sweet, juicy and a Southeast Asian favourite. Easy to eat
