Papaya – yellow flesh

Description

Our yellow flesh papaya are organically grown on a farm in St Lucia.

They are known for their yellow to light-orange coloured flesh, which is lighter than the usual deep orange colour of most papayas.

This variety is renowned for its taste, deliciously sweet with less ‘musk’ than other papayas.

They have a yellow to green skin and are usually rounded rather than elongated.

It’s relatively unknown but the seeds are actually edible. As they are peppery and crunchy, some cuisines use the crushed seeds as a mildly spicy condiment.
