Description
The limequat is the result of a cross between the key lime and the kumquat. They look like a baby lime.
They are bright green with thin edible peel. As they are very sour they are not usually eaten raw but rather cooked or preserved in the same way as kumquats.
Limequats can also be used in cocktails in place of larger more commonly found lime varieties.
Why not try limequats dipped in caramel? It pairs perfectly with the citrus flavour.
