Dates – piarom

Description

Piarom dates are one of the most tasty and delicious semi-dried dates in the world and it is for this reason that they are also one of the most expensive varieties. They grow in mountainous areas and irrigated basins in southern Iran and are harvested in September.

They are a long slender variety which are black to brown in colour. A soft, thin skin encases the rich flesh which has a desirable bite and is firmer than other varieties. They have a low moisture content and a delicious sweet to very-sweet flavour.
