Description

The frozen cacao fruit pulp has a sweet and tart tropical flavour suitable for many fruit blends. It’s most commonly used to make juices, sorbets and cocktails.

Cacao pulp was used by the Aztecs and called “the food of the gods”. Beverages made from cacao beans and pulp are the drink of choice for both nourishing and medicinal qualities.

The use of cacao dates back 2000 years to Central and South America, but is native to the Amazon and is still used today as a staple part of their diet.

Frozen cacao fruit pulp is processed from the sweet white pulp of the cacao fruit, rather than from the bitter dark seeds used to make chocolate.

The pulp offers similar nutritional benefits to the cacao seeds and is filled with the powerful antioxidants that fight disease and damage free radicals.

Its most abundant mineral is potassium.
