Description
The source of chocolate, the cacao fruit has a delicious pulp surrounding each bean which has a unique sweet-sour flavour. To provide a description of the flavour one could describe it as a combination of soursop and mangosteen in texture and taste.
Some liken the flavour to ‘passionfruit lemonade’.
Cacao fruit has a host of health benefits, including the fact that it is the highest plant-based source of iron known to man, at a whopping 7.3mg per 100g, and that it has over 40 times the antioxidants of blueberries!

St Lucian – very juicy, although less flesh than the Ecuadorian.
Ecuadorian – very dense flesh around the bean, less juicy when compared to the St Lucian cacao.
