Banana – nenthra pazham – dried

Description

Nenthra-pazham are a large banana variety, typically 8 to 12 inches long.

Whilst unripe they are used to make banana chips and are used in curries.

Once ripe they are great to eat raw. They have a sweet dense flesh with a bite. They are like a plantain but any Sri Lankan or Indian person will tell you how much better they are!

Due to their size some people will enjoy one banana throughout the day rather than in one go.

Nenthra Pazham are very popular in Kerala. They have to be imported to keep up with demand.

Our dried nenthra pazham are one of the best dried bananas we offer, in our opinion of course!
