Banana – matoke (dried)

Packed in a 40g packet – Contains matoke, which have been sliced and dehydrated.

Matoke are a medium-sized, short and fat banana which are harvested green, before they are mature, and then cooked. Usually they are added to a savoury meal.

You may also leave matoke to ripen fully and then enjoy fresh out of hand as a dessert banana, with a difference. They are sweet, with a slight bitter aftertaste.

We have simply sliced and dehydrated the matoke, nothing added. Once dehydrated, the matoke have a slightly chewy texture.

Ingredients: 100% matoke.

If stored correctly, the dried matoke will last for a long time, however for best taste, we advise consuming them within 2 months.
