Apple banana – fresh, frozen and dried

Description

A very special small variety of banana that is sweet and creamy yet has a distinct green-apple like flavour! The texture is also different to a supermarket bought Cavendish banana.

These organic untreated bananas may have blemishes on the skin. They also tend to have marks on the sides towards the top of the fruit. This is caused by the way they rest on adjacent bananas when they grow in tightly packed bunches. Please be assured that an Apple banana with a few marks on the skin will still taste just as amazing!

They are extremely nutritious; rich in potassium, riboflavin, niacin and fibre, and the rapid energy boost given by their high sugar levels means that they’re a great snack.

Our frozen apple bananas are offered in 1kg vacuum packs. Ripe apple bananas are washed, peeled and frozen whole. The frozen bananas are perfect for making smoothies or banana ‘nice-cream’.

Our dried apple bananas are completely natural. They contain no added sugar and no preservatives. The perfect snack!

The slices, made from Indian and Ugandan bananas are dehydrated here in the UK. The slices can be chewy or slightly crispy.

The whole dried apple bananas are sun-dried in Vietnam. They are soft, chewy and have a sweet unique taste.
