Aloe vera leaf

Description

Aloe vera is a succulent plant species which originates from the Arabian Peninsula. It grows wild in tropical, semi-tropical, and arid climates around the world and is cultivated for agricultural and medicinal uses.

Thanks to the multitude of valuable uses, particularly its health and skin care benefits, aloe vera is often described as the ‘wonder plant’.

The aloe vera leaf is green and firm on the outside creating a shield from it’s soft jelly like flesh.

Caution: Aloin, present in the outer layer (green skin) is toxic. Remove the outer layer (green skin) and rinse flesh before use. Not recommended for pregnant and lactating women and children under 12 years.
