Yellow maracuya are a large variety of passionfruit with a deep orange pulp. They can be up to 5 times the size of a supermarket bought passionfruit here in the UK!

The taste of the yellow maracuya resembles that of a passion fruit, but with a deeper and slightly sweeter flavour. Many people consider the flavour superior to other varieties of passionfruit.

The indication of ripe maracuya passionfruit is once the skin starts to wrinkle, however it’s also perfectly fine to eat them before this.
