Mango – hoa loc

Description

Hoa loc is the most famous Vietnamese mango in the Mekong Delta, known for its aroma and sweetness.

This well regarded mango is plump, medium to large in size (approximately 350g to 450g) and has a thin seed. They are bright yellow once ripe, have bright yellow firm flesh and little fibre.

They are named because of the area they were first grown; Hoa Loc commune, Giao Duc district, Dinh Tuong province. They are now grown commercially on a large scale (over 5000 hectares) in Tien Giang province with the increased production supported by the Vietnamese government.
