Kiwi – rose gold

Description

The rose gold kiwi has a smooth, brown, paper-thin skin. The flesh, which has a slightly different texture when compared to other varieties, is golden yellow with streaks of bright red dispersing from the centre. This variety is sweeter and more aromatic in flavour; than the more commonly found green kiwi.

Rose gold kiwis are considered to be one of the best varieties of kiwi, due to their sweet intense taste and excellent shelf life.

The rose gold kiwi fetches a higher market price and, being less ‘hairy’ than the green kiwi, is more palatable for consumption without peeling.
