Guava – pink flesh – frozen

Description

Guava are sweet with their own unique flavour – they can be compared somewhat to pear. Pink guava have soft sweet flesh which is considered sweeter than that of white guava.

They are wonderfully aromatic and, when ripe, can fill the room with their delicious scent!

The pulp of the pink guava fruit is frozen at source by our suppliers in Colombia and Brazil once the seeds and skin have been removed. It’s strained to remove the fibre and separated into sachets before being frozen.

The flavour of the frozen pulp is like fresh pink guava and it retains the nutritional goodness as it’s quickly processed and flash frozen soon after being harvested.

The frozen pink guava pulp is a convenient choice for making juice or adding to smoothies and can also be consumed neat.

The benefit of frozen guava pulp is that it’s ready for consumption as soon as it arrives with you, whereas the fresh fruit can take time to ripen. Also, the frozen pulp is 100% edible, unlike the fresh guava which has skin and seeds that are usually discarded.
